Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields doesn’t think throwing for 4,000 yards in a season is a reach, a feat that the franchise has yet to accomplish in its 104-year team history. In fact, in a recent podcast interview, Fields guaranteed that he will break Erik Kramer’s record for most passing yards in a season by a Bears quarterback and become the first to surpass the 4,000-yard mark.
Since 1995, Kramer has held the Bears’ record with 3,838 yards. Since then, only Jay Cutler’s 3,812 yards thrown during the 2014 season have threatened the milestone.
Following Fields’ bold comments, IllinoisBets.com decided to add a twist to the plot by constructing hypothetical odds based on his prediction, which surely will give some juice to Illinois sports betting.
Let's just say nationwide bettors will be divided on whether the quarterback can accomplish this feat given his talent.

Odds Not In Fields' Favor
Hold Your Horses, Mr. Fields.
Justin Fields will await a reality check. Our hypothetical odds indicate that Fields only has a 21.1% chance, at +375 odds, of becoming the first in the team’s history to surpass the 4,000-yard mark. Something to keep in mind as you look for a BetMGM bonus code Illinois ahead of the Bears season.
On the flip side, Fields might need to simmer down on his projection, as he was given an 83.3% chance at -500 odds of not exceeding that historic mark.
Despite his improvement over the last two seasons, throwing for 1,870 yards during his rookie campaign and then 2,242 yards the following year, Fields will now face the challenge of nearly doubling the latter amount to stay true to his word.
The Bears' signal-caller has earned a strong reputation for his terrorizing mobility, rushing for 1,143 yards and eight touchdowns last season. Perhaps a running yards mark would've made more sense to use Illinois sportsbook promos. Then again, the Bears did acquire D.J. Moore this offseason, who could help Fields' numbers through the air.
